I figured I should actually post about my life and not just about what is ruining it!

I transferred to Appalachian State this semester and I have 59 hours which means that TECHNICALLY I am one hour short of being a junior, so I am classified as a sophomore. GRR. This is my 6th semester in school, I should be a junior!

I am taking Art Introduction (zzzz), Educational Psychology, Cultural Anthropology, Introduction to Sociology, and Concert Band. All my classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays except for Concert Band which is on Monday and Wednesday evenings. My classes are going okay, it's just really hard to meet people. The classes are all set up in lecture format so there is not much room or time for interaction. The one class that there is time for that is Cultural Anthropology, where we were put into groups to complete a project. I'm in a group with two freshmen, so we'll see how that goes.

I've been attending Mount Vernon since I got up here, which is where April works as the college intern. Everyone there is very nice, there is just A LOT of them and it's hard to remember names or to acquaint yourself with people who already have their groups of friends.

Tonight I went to Campus Crusade for the first time since being up here and I honestly enjoyed it. I didn't meet anyone, but that doesn't matter. I sat with April and had a great time singing and then listening to the message.

My weekend started today at 3 when I got out of Sociology and all I have planned is to do homework, play in the pep band at the basketball game on Saturday, and to go to church on Sunday. The youth group from home is coming up here to go skiing but I'm not sure if I'll see them even though they are staying less than a mile from my apartment.

I haven't been doing much since I've been up here except hanging out in my apartment because I don't really know anyone except for April and Shannon. April is always busy because she is taking a lot of hours and is also working at the church.

And this post is boring me. So that means I bored you to tears about five paragraphs ago. Wait, are there even five paragraphs in this thing??

And there's more. I knew there would be. I went to Deep Gap tonight. It's about a 15-20 minute drive in rush hour traffic and in snow. Which was what was going on when I drove out there at 5:30. I went to hang out with some people from Mount Vernon and cook dinner while the boys cut wood for people who need it. I look down at my phone at about 6:15 and I have a voicemail. I go in the other room to check it and it's my roommate. "Hey Melissa, it's M. I seem to have lost my keys and I am locked out of the apartment. If you could come let me in that would be great. And by the way, it's 9 degrees outside". Really? It's 9 degrees outside? No one told me!

Well I didn't go right away. Because we were going to eat dinner in about 15 minutes and it also wasn't my fault that she lost her keys. She could either find a friend in the complex or walk back to campus. (It's about a 10 minute walk to campus from our apartment.)

I ended up leaving the warehouse where we were at about 7:30. I called her and her phone went straight to voicemail. I left her a message saying that I had been in Deep Gap and had no service. Which wasn't an entire lie. Service is spotty out there. I tried again when I got back to the apartment 10 minutes later. Straight to voicemail again. I am on the phone with my dad at about 8 o'clock when my call waiting beeps and it's her. Her phone was dying so she turned it off and was going to turn it on every hour on the hour until I called. Ohhhkayyy. So she tells me that she's back on campus in the library and then asks me if I can come get her. Mentioning that it's like -3 degrees now. I agree, knowing that if I don't, I will be viewed as a horrible bitch. I drive to campus in the snow and pick her up and drive back. When I get back, I check the weather. It says 15 degrees, but that it "feels like" -3. Okay. This morning when I went to my 8 am class it was 12 degrees and "felt like" -4. And I survived. I walked. I had no other option, and even if I had, I probably would have just walked.

So on the drive back she mentions that she's sure she had her keys when she left because she locked the door. Uh, no she didn't. When I left the apartment after she did the door was unlocked and I locked it behind me. She then tells me that she checked both busses that she rode and she guesses that she will get another key made tomorrow. I don't know how she thought she was going to do that. I'm not about to let her borrow my key. (She has also lost her wallet since being here, which had her credit card, debit card, drivers license, and SOCIAL SECURITY CARD in it. She never found that.) We get back to the apartment and lo and behold! Her keys are on her bed! What a shocker!

So now I am going to go ahead and start praying about and looking for a roommate for the fall semester.

Going to Appalachian State is interesting. Living with someone I've never met before is even more interesting.

She never helps out in the kitchen but is a self-proclaimed "neat freak". Yet to see that take affect. Currently both sides of the sink are full of dishes. Have been for four days now. And yes, she was here over the weekend alone and still didn't wash the dishes. The dishes in the dishwasher are clean, but she won't unload them, claiming "I don't know where anything goes". Just ask! There is a full bag of trash tied and ready to go out. Yet she won't take it, assuming I will because I've taken it out every single time since we've moved in. There is three boxes full of recycling ready to go. Been there for over a week now. Just beyond frustrating.

This morning I went out into the kitchen to get breakfast, and she scared the stuffing out of me. She slept on the couch last night. No, she didn't fall asleep on the couch while watching tv, she just was too lazy to put clean sheets on her bed! Her laundry is chilling on a chair at the dining table. A pair of her panties on the floor under the table as well.

Speaking of the TV. It's right outside my room. See where this is going? When we were talking before we moved in, she said she went to bed at 10 o'clock at the latest every night. Yet to see that actually happen. She will watch TV until all hours, and honestly she must be deaf because I can hear clearly every word said on the TV.

Anddd there is more, but I have cleaning to do or else the apartment will turn into a dump.

massive headache so this will be short, but I wanted to get something written.
I just worked 10 hours and we didn't get out til midnight. I hate when that happens but tonight it wasn't even that bad. I hung out with Ty Ty and we laughed and had a good time. D started texting me and that got a little bit interesting. Tyler kept butting in and telling me what to text him back. It was hilarious.
Anyways. I've been catching up on reading my blogs and making a huge list to read while I'm recovering from knee surgery. I am going to seriously be bored stiff.
okay. this is going nowhere. I want to talk about something but I just don't have the brainpower to get it out. I'm just so freaking confused about some things...

I've been reading blogs forever, but I am such a slacker about updating. Why the hell is that?
Kind of dumb actually.
I'm supposed to be starting my junior year at Appalachian State this fall but my stupid knee had to get in the way. I'm having knee surgery soon, so I'm not allowed to climb mountains again until January. Finally my stupid orthopedist understands that my knee is EFFED up. Jeez. Only took him like 8 months.
Who honestly thinks a Beef & Cheddar is tasty? UGH. Just the thought makes me throw up a little in my mouth. Andddd this post is going no where. I don't understand how some bloggers, can just spout off and be so popular.
Right now I'm watching Project Runway, and seriously people, this show kicks ass. Freaking awesome. People just freaking out about stupid-ass shit. I do wish I could sew like some of these people.
My last day at Target is in less than 2 weeks. Thank the lord. Then I start classes at Wake Tech. I freaking hate that place. I feel like everyone there is a bunch of slackers. I know that might not be true, but it definitely feels that way considering who from my high school now goes there. I'm trying to find a seat in an english class, but they are all closed. Can someone please explain to me how an ONLINE class can be FULL?!? What the hell people? Seriously.

Okay. Starting this crap over. I'm a little late jumping on the bandwagon. I have had a blog in the past--I just wanted to have a fresh start.
Who am I? Missy. Not my real name-just what I'm going by here. I like to sometimes be incognito. heehee. I'm 19 years old and in college. I work part time with kids, so you'll be hearing about that too.
For example: the other day a child was pulled out of a group activity for not following directions and he approached me and another counselor and said "I wasn't doing anything wrong! I wasn't touching my penis! Do you want to see??" hahahahaha. I almost died. Kids, while amazing, do make for some great stories. They're pretty hilarious little creatures. I work with all different ages so it's amazing to see how all these ages differ in the way they act and the way they relate to one another.
Right now I'm waiting for a cake to cool so that I can go to bed. I'm exhausted right now because this week was incredibly long. Wednesday J and I went to Greensboro to see Bayside and ended up not getting home until 4 am. Good times, good times.
O goodness- I'm off to bed. My cake is cooled and I have to be at church at 8 am.
